The Ammo-Saving Strategy
The #1 mistake is wasting heavy ammo on trash mobs. Use the rubber-band pistol or mallet for single mascots, save the Tommy Gun and shotgun for ambushes, and bank the ray gun and slingshot ammo for elites and bosses. Ammo spawns are fixed — learn them and you will never run dry at the wrong moment.
